ATLSS Deputy Director, NEES RTMD Site Director, and Bruce G. Johnston Professor of Structural Engineering Jim Ricles attended the Fourteenth World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (14WCEE) from October 12 – 17, 2008 in Beijing China. Professor Ricles presented his recent research on real-time multi-directional hybrid simulation to investigate the seismic performance of building piping systems. The Conference serves as an international forum at which specialists in earthquake engineering and relevant fields may exchange the latest research results and technologies.
