NEWS: Professor Clay Naito on Sabbatical During 2008-2009 Academic Year

Clay Naito, P.C. Rossin Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, is on sabbatical during the 2008-2009 academic year.  During this period, Professor Naito is a visiting professor at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Tyndall Air Force Base, in Florida.  He is participating in a number of research and development projects in the area of mitigation of blast and impact effects on building structures.  He is also leading a joint research study between the Portland Cement Association and the Air Force Research Laboratory which will assess the performance of traditional tilt-up concrete and precast concrete wall systems against explosive blast demands.
